Home to world renowned Cornell University and Ithaca College, Ithaca is a cosmopolitan and dynamic community. Our farm is atop West Hill, a short four mile ride from town.
At Laughing Goat Fiber Farm, we care for some of the sweetest animals on the planet. Shadow, Tiger, Hazel, Ernie and Bert, Fabio, and others are almost part of the family ... sometimes they seem to take precedence over everything and everybody else! We raise Angora and Cashmere goats as well as sheep and alpaca, all for the harvest of their exotic fiber.
At the farm house, Lisa has a loom room where she produces an array of original, hand-crafted products, made from our own high-quality yarns.
We are committed to sustainable local agriculture. We have enrolled our farm property in a dedicated agricultural farm easement, ensuring that Laughing Goat Fiber will forever be used for farming purposes. We support organic farming and encourage you to support your local and organic farmers wherever you are.
We love to have visitors and are easily accessible from downtown Ithaca. If you're interested to see our finished products first hand, or want to see how we grow and harvest beautiful fibers from these wonderful animals, please call or email and we'll arrange a time.
